Private landlords looking for advice and guidance as they plan for the future have been told to head to the National Landlords Association (NLA) National Conference in November.

David Salusbury, chairman of the organisation, has claimed that landlords who want to be "on top of their game"should not miss the event.

Those interested in attending should know that the gathering takes place at the Holiday Inn in Birmingham city centre on Friday November 20th and Saturday November 21st.

Ian Austin, the government minister responsible for the private rented sector, will be present, as will a host of leading industry figures such as operations manager at the Association of Residential Letting Agents Ian Potter.

The MP will discuss the government's latest proposals to affect private landlords across the UK.

Recent announcements have included the potential introduction of a landlord register and plans to protect tenants in the event of their property owner defaulting on his or her mortgage.
