Private landlords in Lowestoft will be able to attend a special event next month that will give them the opportunity to learn a number of skills to help them succeed in the private rented sector.

While there, they will be able to investigate the various landlord services offered by Waveney District Council - the exhibition's host.

The Aspire Centre at Denes High School is the venue for the event, which will include landlord workshops and stalls detailing some useful information for those who rent out their homes in the area.

Some of the landlords who attend may provide places to live for students at University Campus Suffolk, which is based in nearby Ipswich.

Councillor Sue Allen, portfolio holder for housing at Waveney council, said the event is "very timely"and is hopeful that the landlord advice on offer will be useful.

"Local landlords play a crucial role in providing good quality homes for the people of Waveney and they are currently needed more than ever,"she explained.
