Those attending the National Landlords Association (NLA) National Conference later this month will be able to join a discussion session on property development.

Lee Cecil, a private landlord, property developer and NLA Wales representative, will be hosting a so-called breakout session that involves a presentation on portfolio planning and extending properties, among other issues.

The subject of putting new rooms in the roof of a property - as well as a rundown on planning laws and obtaining finance - will also be covered.

"If you are looking to build a portfolio or develop your existing property, then this session is not to be missed," the NLA states on its website.

Last month, chairman of the NLA David Salusbury said that most private landlords in the UK follow all the rules when it comes to their trade.

"The majority of landlords are financially sound and approach their lettings business in a professional and business-like way," he explained.
