Some of the pertinent issues facing private landlords today will be covered at the National Landlords Association (NLA) National Conference between Friday November 20th and Saturday November 21st.

Various sessions have been scheduled, including one on how to grow a lettings business.

A panel of experts from a selection of national property groups will be on hand to lead the debate.

The members of the panel will be the NLA's Sussane Chambers, Mark Long from research organisation BDRC Group, operations manager for the Association of Residential Letting Agents Ian Potter and Council of Mortgage Lenders representative Rob Thomas.

One subject set to be discussed is the effect of tenant power on landlord rent levels and property standards, while there will also be conversations relating to whether renting is a lifestyle choice or a last resort.

Holiday Inn in Birmingham will be hosting the conference, which will include a whole host of other talks and workshops and is expected to attract private landlords from across the UK.
