Private landlords in Berkshire have joined forces with other property professionals in the region to form a new club.

Earlier this month, the Reading Property Club held a launch party to mark the coming together of group, which aims to provide a unified voice for those involved in the local commercial and residential property businesses.

Joining the private landlords for the event at the Shehnai Banqueting Suite were estate agents, investors and other property owners. More than 50 local people attended the gathering.

Organiser Melanie Marshall told the Bracknell Forest Standard that it was the right time to get developers and investors together.

"In times of recession, it's great for people to have an event where they can talk through any problems they are having and discuss the hot topics," she explained.

The Reading Property Club will next meet on Wednesday January 13th, when there will be two presentations made, as well as the chance to network and discuss pertinent issues.
