The National Landlords Association (NLA) has announced the resignation of its board director.
Sussanne Chambers was appointed to the board in May last year. She was then elected by her fellow members at the organisation's November annual general meeting in 2009.
Ms Chambers will now move on to "an exciting new business venture" as managing director of HomeXperts, chairman of the NLA David Salusbury said.
"In her short time on the Board, Sussanne's enthusiasm and experience were already beginning to make a significant contribution to the continued success and development of our association," he added.
According to the organisation, Ms Chambers is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Ms Chambers has been a landlord since 1988 and has property in the North West and West Midlands.
It is claimed that she views the changed to the private-rented sector as an exciting opportunity for landlords and not a threat.
