Private landlords of residential property are being asked to take part in an Association of Residential Letting Agents (Arla) survey.

The questionnaire is available to complete at the property organisation's official website.

Arla states: "This survey is aimed at residential landlords - by that, we mean anyone who owns one or more properties that they let out."

Landlords who fill in the survey can enter their email address to enter a prize draw for one of five £20 Amazon vouchers.

Information on how many residential properties they own and where they let out residences will have to be provided.

There are also questions on type and condition of property, as well as the expected length of time that private landlords expect to keep hold of their assets before selling.

In light of recent research suggesting the recession could lead to more tenants struggling to pay their landlord rent, there are a number of questions relating to customers and their actions.
