As it approaches two months since the new Gas Safe Register was introduced as the national standard of gas accreditation in the UK, private landlords have got the chance to find out more about the programme.

Gas safety is one of the most important landlord responsibilities as the issue can be a matter of life and death - and this is one reason property owners who rent out their homes may wish to seek more information on the subject.

Representatives from the Gas Safe Register will be taking part in roadshows at Birmingham's Bullring on May 30th, St David's in Cardiff on June 6th and Lakeside in Essex one week later.

There have already been events in Glasgow and Manchester this month.

According to the group, the roadshows will give visitors the chance to find out more about the register, how to find a Gas Safe-registered engineer and pick up "vital gas safety messages".
